Mangalagama to Pullumalai : Road and Bond Building
Here’s a short report from Mangalagama-a village situated in the Batticoloa district, where two of the major ethnic communities in Sri Lanka that had limited interaction in the past due to the war, now have an opportunity to form bonds through a road building exercise.
Two National Movements, One Voice
During the month of August two organizations held two separate events under one theme. A “Campaign to Restore the Rule of Law” organized by the “National Movement for Social Justice” was followed the next day by a public event organized by the “National Movement Against Unlawfulness” lead by the main opposition-the United National Party.

Refused Entry: Chilaw Journalists Protest
On the 11th of August Journalists in Chilaw protested against the reluctance of various government institutions to issue information to them concerning the public.
‘Connections’ spoke to the journalists and officials concerned to find out just why the journalists in Chilaw are not given the same privileges that journalists in most other parts of the country are given.
