යුද්ධයට වඩා සාමයෙන් පරිස්සම් විය යුතු තැන් තිබෙනවා. පරිස්සම් කළ යුතු දේවල් තියෙනවා. අපේ පරිසරයත් යුද්ධය අවසානයේ ලැබූ නිදහසින් පරිස්සම් කරගත යුතුද?

සාමාන්‍යයයෙන් පදික වේදිකාව කිව්වම අපට මතක් වෙන්නෙ වෙළෙන්දන් සහ යාචකයින්. හැබැයි වසරකට වරක් පදික වේදිකාව කිව්වම චිත‍්‍ර ශිල්පීන්ව මතක් වෙන මොහොතකුත් එනවා.

“…the Diaspora is not just in England, in the US or in Canada, We have a large Sri Lankan Tamil Diaspora also in India as well. And when i went to South India and when i visited people living in the refugee camps, i heard many different stories and this piece was inspired by that. I also wanted the heroine to be a young girl who had come to an Indian refugee camp. And i wanted Tamils in the Diaspora for those in other parts of the Diaspora-in Canada and in England to look up to a young a girl who was living in a refugee camp. I wanted them to be inspired by her story and strengthened by her courage…”- YaliniDream on Connections, 8th February 2012
